The importance of the 2016 primary and general elections for the future of Texas can’t be overstated. The people we elect will chart the course for our state, making decisions that will impact Texas public schools for years to come. Primary elections in Texas are especially important because they can often determine the final election outcomes. Yet Texas voter turnout rates are historically dismal. We need Texans to be involved and engaged in the election process and to stake their claim in our state’s future.
